The My Local Foodie Buying Group is made up of over 65 National Suppliers that have been carefully selected to provide our clients with exceptional products and service at the lowest possible price.
The My Local Foodie Buying Group covers all products categories and work very closely with suppliers to ensure they deliver all orders to clients on time and in full every time. Most of our suppliers are local; family owned and operated businesses with the most experience people in the industry involved in the day to day service and supply.
The buying group sources the quality products at the best prices and wherever possible aims to source produce direct from the farm, factory or importer as part of our Paddock to Plate, Factory Direct and Importer Direct programs.
Paddock to Plate Program
The Paddock to Plate program has been designed to source the best quality produce and reduce the cost of our premium produce ranges for meat, poultry and seafood. By dealing with farmers and producers directly we are able to guarantee the quality of the produce and reduce the costs by controlling the distribution channels and in turn do our bit for the environment by reducing the energy costs involved in getting the produce on the plate.
We feel it is important to know where your produce has come from and take great pride in being able to provide clients with the option to promote and support producers who participate in sustainable food and farming practices.
Factory Direct Program
Sourcing produce with our Factory Direct Program ensures best possible quality, reliable stock levels and national factory direct pricing. We work with local Australian factories as well as many overseas factories to produce the products required by clients. We set quality, volume and price with the factories and organise delivery to all My Local Foodie chefs. In many cases - the factories deliver themselves. If this is not possible we organise a My Local Foodie distributor to deliver.

Importer Direct Program
The My Local Foodie Importer Direct program follows the same philosophy of buying direct from the source to ensure quality, stock availability and lowest possible purchase prices. We work with the best importers in Australia sourcing the highest quality and best value produce from all over the world.

Apart from amazingly fresh produce and lower prices the added benefit of our paddock to plate program is that farmers, factories, producers and importers know where their produce is going and take great pride knowing which pubs, restaurants and cafes are plating up their produce.
The My Local Foodie Buying Group currently operates in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Devonport. We have plans to open in Hobart, Brisbane and Adelaide during 2012.
